Global Customer Service is a unit within Volvo cars, which is responsible for the worldwide aftermarket business, the development and distribution of spare parts, service and repair methods and accessory range. Our ambition is to be the preferred supplier of parts and service to our dealers and customers and thereby actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for the customer.
What you’ll do
As a Volvo Cars Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for the technical education of market trainers, technical help desk, technical support and any other internal technical role that requires ongoing education. As trainer, you are able to demonstrate clear competence in managing and delivering all components of the end-to-end training process. From identifying training as a solution to a particular business objective, you must be able to articulate a clear and structured process taking in all of the key stages of the training cycle; from needs analysis, solution development, learning creation to delivery and evaluation. Examples of tasks may include:
- Analyse and understand the Volvo business objectives and translate this into an appropriate and timely training interventions
- Interpret the outputs of a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to recommend suitable learning intervention for global deployment
- Identify the impact required through the recommended learning and training intervention
- Design tailored train-the-trainer interventions relevant to business need, audience, timing and specific market requirement
- Develop capabilities to ensure maximum learning transfer to take place
- Keep up to date with different learning styles and methods
- Deliver a training course that has been self-designed or designed by another trainer.
You and your skills
To be successful in this role you need to have technical knowledge, preferably from tghe automotive industry. You also need Market experience and understanding of different market needs preferably with dealer experience. Also, since you will be working with training we would like to see experience and knowledge in training methodologies, designing training both web and face-to-face and that you have technical training experience
Competence and experience is important but personality is key! We are looking for a team player with a positive mindset and a personal drive. You need to be passionate and engaged inspiring people around you and have great communication skills. Finally, as you have ownership for the trainings you design and conduct you need to be structured, analytical and result oriented
