What you will be a part of
You will work within the Model Based Engineering department which is part of the Governance and Management Support organization. Model Based Engineering supports necessary tools and methods that the product developers use in their daily work. The core compentencies are user support, methodology development, technology development, strategic business as well as maintenance and customization of the methodology and technology used by the business area.
The department is leaders in MBD-methodology, Model Based Engineering, a methodology where a part is completely defined by a 3D-model and is re used throughout the development process.
The department employs approximately 40 people.
Your primary goal as a systems architect is to work with the MBD-workflow in the development process to make it as efficient as possible with regards to requirements from the organization. The main focus will be to optimize, integrate and develop current and future systems for the design, production and maintenance of military aircraft systems.
You will be part of our management organization as well as being involved in projects developing the MBD-workflow in the product development process and included systems. In order to understand the requirements you will work with users and stakeholders daily.
Some of the typical tasks for a systems archithect:
- To be responsible for the applications and integrations
- To be part of pilot studies and operational development
- To review specifications from a systems perspective
- To suggest new functionality
- To be responsible for coding guidelines and adherence
- To bring relevant information on technical solutions to the teams
We are looking for a person with knowledge from a position as a user and/or systems developer within one or more systems in use in development, production and maintenance of aircraft systems. The most important are ENOVIA, CATIA and DELMIA. Suitable experience is systems development or systems architecture with experience from model based engineering and integrated systems solutions.
As a person you have a keen interest for the customer and for the needs and expectations of the users. You are skilled in understanding dependencies and how things are connected and have a strong interest in technical development.
A strong cultural awareness is necessary, as the work is carried out in an international environment.
You have a strong ability to create as well as adhere to requirements but also the courage to question them and suggest new or altered requirements. You are skilled in analyzing information in order to figure out what is relevant for the task at hand. It is important that you are able to see "the big picture" and the you understand the concept of workflows.
You need to be comfortable working independently as well as being able to cooperate in a team. Also, you should be open to new ideas and comfortable in a leading role
