We are looking for a driven Software Engineer for our
Rail Control Solutions site in Hässleholm, Sweden
As Software Engineer, you will be part of a team developing train control software. The focus will be on Radio Block Center (RBC), with a strong future in the years to come. The RBC is a part of the INTERFLO 450 system, which is a safety classified (SIL4) signaling solution for main lines and follows the ERTMS (“European Rail Traffic Management System”) standard. Bombardier is a market leader in providing ERTMS technology and we were the first supplier to commission an ERTMS Level 2 system for commercial operation. During the coming 10 years ERTMS will be rolled out and connecting Europe. The RBC team is a highly experienced team with a good atmosphere, where collaboration is key.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES
Implementing new software functionality/Software Development
Maintenance and bug fixes
A relevant engineering degree, preferably Master’s (Electronics, Computer Science orElectrical Engineering)
Experienced programmer in an embedded environment
Knowledge of Linux and/or Git/Gerrit is highly appreciated
Analytical and structured mindset, with an eye for details
Advanced English language skills are a prerequisite; Swedish fluency is an advantage
Most of all, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and soft skills. The ability to work in teams and learn from others are key to be successful in this role.
