Valmet's Pulp and Energy business line provides technologies and solutions for pulp and energy production as well as for biomass conversion. The pulp projects range from process equipment deliveries to complete pulp mills.

As Manager Construction Management your main tasks are mainly erection and construction management including planning and scheduling, contract management, cost estimating and cost forecasting in sales and delivery projects. Erection planning comprising the identification and specification of the type and scope of the erection work covered by the contract, defining the prerequisites and requirements for the execution of the erection work as well as the manpower, equipment and auxiliary materials requirements.
The main duties also include compiling, sending and analyzing erection inquiries, participating in contract negotiations and coordinating document packages to vendors according to contract. The work is diverse and international and since our customers are global you will have the possibility and wish to travel. Our major Valmet locations for this work is in Sundsvall and Karlstad, therefore this position could origin from either of those locations.
To be successful in this role you have:
- Long experience from the industrial process industry with customer/contractor interface. Ideally from the Pulp & Paper industry.
- Documented experience of conducting projects internationally.
- An understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service.
- University degree with preference for technical / construction / project management background
- Ability to co-operate in larger project organizations and good communication skills.
- Good planning and problem-solving skills.
- Very good skills in English and you should be proficient in communicating and giving presentations internally and externally.
- A co-operative attitude and genuine drive and desire to make success.
