The group Indirect Procurement (IDP) is responsible for the purchasing of all non-production
materials and services to all our staff and plants. We are now looking for a new Buyer to the
Maintenance, Repair, Operations (MRO) Europe team. The MRO Europe team consists of eight buyers with the mission to purchase maintenance, spare parts/equipment, services, chemicals and replacements with quality to best price and with the most favourable commercial setup. We work closely
together with the Maintenance and Inventory and Manufacturing Engineering .

This Buyer role within MRO focuses on spare parts towards our car plants for the areas,
machinery and equipment, workplace products, Filters, Hydraulic, Pneumatic &
You will be an important part of creating and maintaining our strategic business plan within
the spare parts area as well as identifying new opportunities and securing best practice within
the area. You will also cooperate with the IDP buyers in China and US to some extent. The
supply base is global though a majority are located in Europe. Your main Stake holder will be
our inventories and Maintenance. It is important that you have a good commercial sense and
Within this role the person will develop a very wide network within many areas at Volvo Cars.
The person will also learn many different commercial setups and get good knowledge different type of contracts.
What you’ll do
Your goal is to find the best commercial outcome for the Volvo Car Group which is specific for your goods, you work for continuous improvement and efficiency in accordance with VCC overall strategies.
You enjoy developing relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality and delivery, and to ensure market and technological trends for the affected products.
In your role, you will validate the new suppliers, negotiate and sign contracts.
In the tasks, you perform also procurement according to the defined strategies and frameworks.
Do you fit the profile?
You have an economic or a technical college degree or equivalent
To be successful in your job, you need to have experience in negotiations with a focus on commercial targets, you possess excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English, and also in Swedish.
Have you worked in the automotive industry it is an advantage
To thrive, you should have a technical interest.
Driving license is required.
