What you’ll do
As Senior Category Buyer for Restraints, you work together with six dedicated buyers in Gothenburg, Shanghai and Charleston. You’ll mainly:
- Create and work according to a global sourcing strategy for restraints which includes Seat Belts, Airbags, Steering Wheels and Load nets
- Lead the sourcing process for restraints
- Have yearly commercial negotiations with your supplier base
- Work closely with the operational buyers within your area
- Secure a good collaboration and buy ins from all stakeholders
- Work globally which for example means securing a good global footprint, managing global meetings and alignment with buyers in Asia and US
The Buyer is the spider in the web, consisting of a wide range of functions such as Quality, R&D, Suppliers, Logistics, Design, Manufacturing, Project Management, Capacity and Packaging. Most likely, you’ll develop a holistic view of the complete restraints area and gain project leading skills.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a University degree or equivalent experience, Technical or Economical. You also have work experience within procurement, negotiation and leading projects, which you are great at. In addition, you have good knowledge of Purchasing processes and systems as well as standard computer skills such as MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Good English, both oral and written is necessary.
If you have experience from a role as Category Buyer where you had the lead for complex sourcing’s, you’re an even better match. If you are experienced working abroad in an international environment, this is also beneficial.

To succeed in this position you have an entrepreneurial mindset where everything is possible. You will face many challenges but willpower can get you far. You are able to adapt to different settings, sometimes having tough negotiations while other situations requires you to be a great sales person. We believe that you’re cooperative person but are able to drive tasks independently as well. To enjoy this role, we are certain that you have the ability to prioritize and have a structured way of working.
