The Volvo Car CED organisation in Olofström is the hub between production and IT and the main focus is to provide our customers with robust and lean IT solutions, to continuously work to find synergies and to increase efficiency. We are and will continue to be in a major transformation journey for a long period of time where our IT portfolio will be significantly re-shaped. This journey is progressing at the same time as our business is increasing the pace of production, expanding the manufacturing footprint to more production sites as well as increasing the pace of requesting new and improved functionality.
What you’ll do
As a Group Manager Applications you will report to the IT Site Manager. The position is based in Olofström at Volvo Car Body Components (VCBC) with a global setup that requires a high adaptability when it comes to travel and also ability to work in virtual teams and structures.
You will also:
- Manage and coach the VCBC IT applications team with employees, consultants and bought services agreements in implementation and in everyday operation
- Lead the transformation journey with regards to the VCBC IT portfolio
- Have responsibility for organisational management including resource planning, resource acquisition, employee development, employee skill development, employee satisfaction and workload management for the involved group as well as plan and conduct the team activities
- Maintain customer relations with focus on operational key performance indicators
- Drive continuous improvements in terms of making life less complicated for VCBC IT customers, team members, and other stakeholders
- Manage local IT including life cycle planning, prioritization, control and governance
Do you fit the profile?
You are experienced by working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches and tools.
You have at least 5 years of progressive responsibilities in IT managerial positions.
• University degree/Master degree in IT, or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
Meritorious skills you might have
Experience with IT Applications and if used in manufacturing environments this will be an asset. If you have experience in Supplier Management and ITIL knowledge and/or certification and also if you have knowledge of Project Management process and methodology this will be highly valuable skills.
